Jazz

One of the types of music that may be played at this shindig might be a good ol' fashioned Big band. I didn't know what a big band was until a few days ago, then i found out i did but i just didn't realize it was called a big band. I like to think of them as an overly relaxed orchestra with percussion solos, which i suppose is exactly what they were going for.

This is one of those golden oldies that you can't help but move your feet to. In all seriousness however this is a sound that really reminds me of the style it brought at the time.

An extremely bright and soulful look that accompanied Jazz and envisaged the feel that the music made people feel. Another art style that jazz makes me think about is cubism, but a later form that was branched off from it. It was used in cartoons like the Jetsons and heavily in advertising in the early 50's, also recently... ish in the film incredibles. 

I may not look into jazz anymore, but it is just nice to have it in the blog.
